PROJECT SUMMARY
Millions of young athletes passionately follow Nike products and
athletes. But there has never been a channel specifically devoted to
them. We were asked to help launch @nikeyoungathletes on Instagram by inspiring user-generated content.
Strategy
Take the “So Fast” campaign for adults that summer and reframe it in the mind of a kid’s imagination as if they’re trash talking at recess. “I’m so fast…”
Solution
Have a few young athlete Instagram influencers show how fast they are by completing the sentence, “I’m so fast...” Then add special effects to those videos and release them to the world. Hundreds of Young Athletes then filmed their own “I’m So Fast” videos and put them on Instagram. Nike customized their videos and reposted them on their own channel each day for a week straight.
Results
Followers increased 8 times to over 42k in seven days.
3,000 total comments across all videos.
Average likes per video were 4,000.
