PROJECT SUMMARY
Coca-Cola wanted to continue their “Where Will Happiness Strike Next” event/film series but the catch was they wanted to incorporate movement. Was there a way to get people active, have fun, and understand energy balance?
Strategy
A Coke used to cost 5 cents but what if it cost 140 calories?
Solution
Require people to sweat for their Coke. We designed a custom bicycle platform that weighs the rider and calculates their pedal speed to determine how many calories they are burning. This platform and bike are connected to a hacked Coca-Cola Rube Goldberg machine. The Happy Cycle was at Huntington Beach for a day and turned into a short online film.
