The way in which they do this is called "Good Push". Which of course needs some explaining. With monsters. This isn't just one explanation, it covers a lot of things. So instead of making one long video we decided to approach it in a series of snippets played by characters that all live on one happy planet. We had some serious budget constraints going into this so we had to rely heavily on illustration over complex animation. Thanks to the absolutely most wonderful Jennifer James Wright that wasn't a problem. She handled all the illustration while I art directed and worked with J Smith to try and come up with stories and a style that would work. The results can be seen below.
